- All-purpose flour: 1 cup
- Granulated sugar: 1 cup
- Unsweetened cocoa powder: ½ cup
- Salt: ¼ teaspoon
- Vegetable oil: ½ cup
- Eggs: 2 large
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Cream cheese: 8 ounces, softened
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add oil, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- Step 3: Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Spread evenly over the brownie batter.
- Step 5: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Step 6: Let cool completely before cutting into bars. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days to maintain their creamy texture.
- For a warm, gooey treat, microwave individual bars for 10-15 seconds before serving.
- Dust the brownie cheesecake bars with cocoa powder or powdered sugar for an elegant presentation.
- Ensure your cream cheese is fully softened before beating; this guarantees a smooth, lump-free cheesecake layer.
