Ingredients
- Ground Beef: 1 pound
- Cooked Rice: 3 cups
- Soy Sauce: 3 tablespoons
- Chili Garlic Sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Brown Sugar: 1 tablespoon
- Green Onions: 2, chopped
- Vegetable Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
- Step 2: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
- Step 3: Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked ground beef and stir well to coat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Step 4: Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef and sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is heated through and slightly crispy in places.
- Step 5: Remove from heat and stir in most of the chopped green onions, reserving some for garnish.
- Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with the remaining green onions.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat the rice in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water to prevent it from drying out.
- This dish pairs perfectly with a fried egg on top for extra richness and protein.
- For extra crispy beef, pat it dry with paper towels before browning to remove excess moisture.
