Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Place the softened butter in a mixing bowl.
- Step 2: Using an electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Step 3: Gradually add the maple syrup, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon (if using) to the butter.
- Step 4: Continue beating on low speed until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Increase speed to medium and whip for another minute until light and airy.
- Step 5: Transfer the maple butter to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Allow to soften slightly before serving.
Notes
- Refrigerate maple butter in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
- Gently warm chilled maple butter in the microwave in short bursts or let sit at room temperature to restore its creamy spreadability.
- Slather this delightful maple butter on pancakes, waffles, or scones for a sweet and decadent treat.
- For the best flavor, be sure your butter is softened completely before whipping; it will create a smoother, more luscious final product.
